T (39)Advocate Lisa Segelov was born in Sydney, Australia. In 1986, she completed with excellence her undergraduate studies in Economics and Law at the University of Sydney, Australia. In July 1987, she was admitted as a member of the New South Wales Law Society and to the Supreme Court of Australia. Thereafter, she worked as a commercial lawyer in a medium-sized commercial law firm in Sydney, Australia for 2 years.

Advocate Segelov immigrated to Israel in 1988. After she completed the required legal training in Israel, she was admitted as a member to the Israel Bar Association in 1991, and she has practised as an attorney in Israel since then.

Advocates Cohen and Segelov established the law firm Cohen Segelov & Co. Advocates and Notaries in 2000.

Advocate Segelov has been certified as an Israeli Notary since 2003.

  • Family Law– legal advice and representation in divorce, maintenance, custody, guardianship and property settlements and litigation, pre-nuptial agreements, co-habitation and financial agreements, advice and representation for same sex couples, surrogacy agreements, adoption, child abduction, immigration of children in the context of divorce settlements.   • Wills, Estate and Inheritance Law- applications for probate and succession orders in Israel, appointment of executor, distribution of estate assets, administration of estates, establishment of trusts, agreements amongst beneficiaries, legal opinions, estate litigation including appointment and removal of executors, validity of wills, protecting and defending the rights of a beneficiary or class of beneficiaries.
  • Golden Age Law- legal advice and litigation in regard to guardianship, medical power of attorney, perpetual power of attorney, associated services (nursing homes and caregivers, financial and banking advice, taxation issues, inter-vivos gifts), foreign guardianships and immigration to Israel issues related to the Golden Age such as pension rights.
  • Company and Trust Law– legal advice and preparation of company incorporation, ongoing company legal advice including supplementary services and documentation, opening branches of foreign companies in Israel, opening company bank accounts, voluntary dissolution of companies, sale and purchase of shares, sale and purchase of companies and their assets, establishment of trusts and trust management.
